Skin Boosters vs Polynucleotides – explained simply

Although many aesthetics clinic will often advise that the two are the same, Skin Boosters & Polynucleotides are in fact very different products. That said, they are also highly complementary treatments that can be used in conjunction with one another to produce fabulous results for clients.

Hyaluronic Acid Skin Boosters

Think of this like giving your skin a big drink of water.

  • It adds moisture to the skin

  • Skin looks plumper, fresher and glowier

  • You will often see results almost immediately

  • Best when skin feels dry or tired

💧 Hydration = instant freshness

Polynucleotides (for example: Ami Eyes)

Think of this like helping your skin fix itself.

  • It repairs and strengthens the skin

  • Helps skin make new healthy cells

  • Results appear slowly and progressively over time

  • Best for thin, delicate or ageing skin, especially around the eyes

🌱 Repair = long-term improvement

Are they the same treatment?

No — they do different jobs.

  • Skin boosters = hydrate

  • Polynucleotides = repair

Sometimes we use both, but at different times, depending on what your skin needs.

Which one is right for you?

That depends on:

  • How dry or delicate your skin is

  • Your age

  • Whether you want quick freshness or long-term improvement

Our practitioner will guide you to the safest and most effective solution for your skin to produce the best results.
